Ladies and Gentlemen,

When the decision was taken to permanently turn the Theater an der Wien into a municipal opera house there were many who doubted the necessity and the prospects of success of a third such venue in Vienna. 18 years and approximately 2,500 performances later, the opera house has become part of the city’s identity. After two eventful seasons at the MuseumsQuartier, it now returns to its own, extensively refurbished home, the Theater an der Wien, in time for the start of the 24/25 season.

Programme presentation

Together with Peter Heilker and Carolin Wilpütz, Stefan Herheim jointly presented the extensive programme for the reopening season on an evening that was as informative as it was entertaining.

Subscriptions & individual ticket sales

subscription orders from 18 April

up to and including 31 May 2024, the early booking bonus of -30% applies to all subscriptions with the exception of premiere subscriptions

The box office of the MusikTheater an der Wien is only located in the MuseumsQuartier until 18 April.
