Light design

Mark has worked extensively in opera, ballet, drama and musical theatre with leading companies throughout Great Britain and in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, Norway, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden and the USA. He worked for Glyndebourne Festival Opera from 1978-1992 when he became head of lighting at the National Theatre, London from 1993 -2003.   In 2014 he was made a Fellow of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Previous designs with Mr Warner include Vanessa at Glyndebourne for which he won the Knight of Illumination award for his lighting design and Pelléas et Mélisande at Stockholm. Previous productions at TAW: The Rape of Lucretia and Mathis de Maler with Mr Warner, as well as Les Contes d’Hoffmann.
